May 24 | Gem Theater | Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District
A Modern Voice of Timeless Soul
he 18th & Vine Arts Festival Foundation is proud to honor LeVelle as the 2026 R&B Male Honoree — recognizing his national impact, musical excellence, and proud representation of Kansas City’s contemporary soul sound.
LeVelle brings authenticity back to the center of R&B. His music is grounded in love, emotional honesty, and classic soul influence — delivered through a modern lens that resonates across generations.
From Background Singer to Billboard Recognition
LeVelle’s national journey began as a background vocalist for Charlie Wilson — an opportunity that expanded his exposure and introduced him to larger stages alongside artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Raheem DeVaughn, Robin Thicke, and After 7.
Those experiences sharpened his artistry and solidified his voice in today’s R&B landscape.
In 2023, he released his Billboard-recognized sophomore album Promise To Love, widely praised for its mature themes and rich production. His singles “Fell In Love” featuring Anthony Hamilton and “Right Here” earned chart recognition and built a loyal following.
In 2025, he continued his momentum with the release of “Tongue Tied,” a smooth and sultry record crafted alongside accomplished songwriters whose credits span legends like Charlie Wilson, Boyz II Men, Mary J. Blige, Usher, and Rihanna.
LeVelle doesn’t just sing about love — he embodies it.
Representing Kansas City with Excellence
Though his reach is national, LeVelle remains rooted in Kansas City.
He represents a generation of artists who respect tradition while evolving the sound. His commitment to craftsmanship, stage presence, and emotional connection reflects the city’s long-standing reputation for soulful storytelling.
Honoring him at the Gem Theater in the Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District bridges today’s R&B movement with Kansas City’s historic musical lineage.
