MariChellé Okorie: Building Community Through Art

MariChellé Okorie, a versatile artist, has thrived in a community of fellow creators since joining the festival:

"The 18th & Vine Arts Festival Foundation has been life-changing for me. The partnerships, friendships, and opportunities I’ve gained are invaluable. From commissioned pieces to murals and even art parties with my friends, the festival created a space where we champion one another and grow together. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!"

Clariece Kirkwood: Imagining a Brighter Future

Clarieve Kirkwood was honored to collaborate with the city on a visionary project for the future of Kansas City’s Third District, thanks to opportunities provided by the festival:

"The 18th & Vine Arts Festival opened doors for me to showcase my creativity in a meaningful way. My theme centered on economic development, and I created a piece highlighting the integration of greenery, natural energy sources, and community life. None of this would’ve been possible without the incredible support of the festival team."

Marie FabKreations Marie: A Home for Creativity

Marie FabKreations Marie , an emerging artist passionate about painting and mixed media, shared how the 18th & Vine Arts Festival has transformed her artistic journey:

The festival gave me the confidence to create a space of love and explore new artistic opportunities. Winning the 70s-themed Decked Out Tent competition was a thrilling experience that continues to motivate me."
